Birak Supports Services
Each participant is recognised as an individual, and we develop tailored support plans guided by a therapeutic, person-centred approach.
These plans are designed to promote wellbeing, independence, and meaningful outcomes based on the participant's goals and circumstances. We collaborate with relevant stakeholders—including support coordinators, allied health professionals, and government agencies—to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
De-Escalating Potential Crises
Our caregivers undergo training in techniques to defuse escalating situations and prevent them from escalating into crises.

Family & Connection
We are committed to supporting and respecting the cultural identity of all participants, particularly those who identify as Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, or from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Our team actively engages with culturally appropriate services and community organisations to promote inclusion, cultural safety, and connection to community and heritage.

Cultural Diversity & Race Awareness
We embrace and celebrate diversity, delivering inclusive and culturally responsive services to individuals from all backgrounds.
For participants from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, we prioritise connection to culturally appropriate resources and supports that reflect and respect their unique identities and lived experiences.
Nurturing Stable Relationships
We recognize the significance of stable and nurturing relationships in a child's life and place great emphasis on helping children establish and maintain enduring connections with supportive adults. We also work diligently to explore and develop potential connections with the child's family, advocating on their behalf.
